Why should you buy a Jensen Interceptor

As ‘suppliers of driving pleasure’ we curate our selection of driver’s cars using a broad yet unmistakably experience‑driven set of criteria. The Jensen Interceptor MKIII fits that idea. The combination of the American V8, the true British charm and the Italian design creates a sense of speed and presence that is both surprising and deeply satisfying.

The Interceptor is a grand tourer that stands alongside contemporaries like the Aston Martin V8, the Maserati Indy and the Bristol 411. More than 50 years after its debut, the Interceptor MKIII still turns heads with its distinctive Touring‑designed silhouette.

The Jensen Interceptor isn’t just a classic; it’s a statement.

Why should you buy this Jensen Interceptor

This one comes in a stunning colour, Tangerine Orange, a great seventies colour that sadly almost disappeared from our roads. Originally delivered in Madrid (Spain) although produced for the USA market, this car featured on the 1973 Barcelona Car show. As a real head-turner on the car show it just never left Spain.

The car is in good, honest condition. The now 4th owner (since 2012) brought the car back to its original colour and reintroduced the vinyl roof. Recent maintenance invoices (ca. 4.200 €) shows a lot of items resolved, still to address is a repair of the electrical windows, reconnect airco which is revised and maybe change the tyres.

Original options on the Jensen:

  • black leather dash
  • electrical antenna
  • 8 track player and radio
  • Central locking
  • Remote unlock booth and fuel cap
  • Electrical windows
  • Airco

Since a lot of Jensen’s suffer from rust, this is a great buy. Always stayed in Spain, driven by good weather and stalled in dry conditions under a car cover. They suffer from overheating so this one got a double ventilator on the radiator (manual override) and the cooling system has been cleaned.

Why is this Jensen Interceptor in our range

This Jensen Interceptor fits perfectly in our collection of driver’s cars. Its stunning colour gives the Touring an extra touch making it one of the classics that immediately stands out.

The Interceptor’s appeal lies not only in its looks, but also in its mechanical character. The effortless V8 power, the relaxed yet confident ride and the unmistakable soundtrack make it a perfect match for our philosophy of offering cars that deliver genuine driving pleasure. This example is in good — though not perfect — condition, exactly the kind of honest classic we love to present: authentic, usable and full of personality.

For us, this Jensen Interceptor is more than a beautiful classic. It is a grand tourer with soul, and a car that deserves to be enjoyed by someone who appreciates its unique blend of British elegance and American muscle and don’t forget Italian design.
