Of course we had pedal cars when we were young, didn’t you ? As I remember we had Kettler gocarts and in my opinion they were, well, unimaginative. But they did the trick anyway. Now look at this Euréka pedal car, that’s more like it. This one misses a rear wing though. It is based on the Delahaye 135 competition roadster, easy to find images of this car on the internet if you are interested.
The current owner of the pedal car bought it at an antique market in Montreuil-sur-Mer, France. There is a market for pedal cars like this one and the prices… fetch sometimes more than regular cars. My friend Raf of old & restored came to the rescue for this one and made a new wing from scratch as you can see.
Real craftsmanship if you ask me. In general Raf works on classic cars and is always in for a challenge like with this little fellow. Pretty sure we will read more about #old&restored in future stories, so stay tuned.
