Why should you buy a Jaguar E-type

Well the Jaguar E-type is a true British icon, it’s aesthetics combined with performance make the E-type one of the most beautifull and desired car ever made. The rumour goes that even Enzo Ferrari called it “The most beautifull car ever made”, who are we to challenge this statement.

The E-type was based on the Jaguar D-type, a car that won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1955, 1956 and 1957. It is safe to say that it doesn’t lack performance.

Why should you buy this Jaguar E-type

Our E-type is in excellent condition, we would not call it ‘Concours’ but very close to that anyway. The car has been completely restored in 2008, since it covered 16.950 km.

It got some important upgrades, think of the Getrag 5-speed gearbox, electronic ignition, a high torque starter-engine and optimised cooling system. When restored it got the black paint, originally the car featured the primrose yellow and they added the glass headlight covers that are so determining the series I models. They can easily be removed.

This example has no rust and leaks no oil, water or whatever. On the MOT features no remark at all.

There is a comprehensive history on the car and the restauration, the British Heritage certificate states that the car has been delivered in New York in 1969.

Why is this Jaguar E-type in our car range

My first memory of the E-type comes from the Louis The Funés movie ‘Le petit baigneur’ where the front of the car is stretched even longer. Ever since we would not dare to contradict someone like Enzo Ferrari, and what’s more: the car got some upgrades which make it even more reliable and easier to handle.

Again the perfect driver car with which you can cruise f.i. along the castles of the Loire Valley in France like the current owner did together with his wife and the Jaguar owners club some time ago.
